Visas without surprises

The paperwork, clear from day one

We have been helping international students with their visa for 25 years. This is what you need to know:

Certificate for your visa

We send you the enrolment certificate you need in order to apply for it.

Clear deadlines

Apply at the Spanish consulate in your country at least 2 months before the course starts.

If your visa is refused

We refund what you have paid within 48 hours — only administration fees are deducted.

Support all the way

From the consulate to your arrival in Murcia. Legal assistance available as an additional service.

If you take the Spanish course with us (from-scratch route)

You will need two student visas: one for the Spanish course (apply for it in your country before January, two months before the language course starts) and one for the vocational programme, which you will apply for from Spain, without leaving the country, before June. Once you have paid the enrolment fee for the vocational programme, you will receive the enrolment certificate for the Immigration Office (Oficina de Extranjería).

If you go straight into the vocational programme with your B2 (fast track)

Once you have enrolled and paid the registration fee at the vocational training centre, you will receive your enrolment certificate and you will apply for the visa at the Spanish consulate in your country before June (2 months before the course starts). If the visa is refused, the conditions of the vocational training centre apply; the fee for the Instituto Hispánico administration service is not refundable on this route.

Would you rather not deal with the paperwork?

We offer an optional external professional service that handles the whole application for you. It is voluntary: you can do it yourself or request this service.

Hi everyone! It's my turn to share my wonderful and exceptional experience at Instituto Hispánico de Murcia. To begin with, I’d like to highlight the atmosphere inside the classrooms. It is fun, highly motivating, and on a completely whole new level that makes learning so easy, using modern teaching methods and digital tools. As for the teachers, they are highly experienced. I would like to take this opportunity to special thank Teresa and Javier, who accompanied me on my 8-month learning journey... guys, you put in even more effort than I did! All the teachers put in an incredible amount of effort to help everyone learn and convey ideas in every possible way. The same goes for the rest of the team, from the reception to the director, Felipe. They always ensure everyone's comfort and have helped me since the very beginning of this journey. They even lent me a helping hand after my studies ended to help me pursue my educational path here. Everyone's treatment was fantastic, without exception. They made us feel as if we were at home in a truly family-like environment, which helped me make friends with students from all over the world. On top of all that, I cannot forget the cultural activities and trips to the city's most famous landmarks, which were the best way to get to know the local culture and integrate quickly. As for the city of Murcia, what can I say! It’s a city where you feel authenticity and cultural richness in every corner. Its festivals give it a wonderful vibrancy, and the locals are extremely friendly and welcoming. A word of advice for anyone reading my review in the future! If you want to learn Spanish and live an unforgettable experience, I recommend Instituto Hispánico de Murcia 100%. All the best to you all!

t's more than just a school. It's a wonderful place where teachers are there to guide you through your studies. This allows you to progress incredibly quickly. Great teachers can make you want to immerse yourself in Spanish, even after you've left the classroom. They'll tell you which Spanish books to read, what music to listen to, and what films to watch. These recommendations make it not only enjoyable but also a valuable support in your language learning. Teresa is the best language teacher I have ever had. She is absolutely professional and loves teaching. Besides she knows modern Spanish culture very well. Is is very helpful for students. And she is very warm i nice person. After my course I have a great motivaton for learning.

Good morning. I have successfully completed the A1 level course at your institute. I found it very beneficial; the teachers were excellent, effectively explaining the grammar and fundamentals of this level. I would like to express my special thanks to the administrative staff for their attention, and a particular thank you to Professor Yahya. I look forward to continuing my studies at all levels with you. Thank you all so much for everything. 💥💯🙏 B. Bouchra.

We answer your questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I enrol, step by step?
If you are starting from scratch: 1) request information → 2) we confirm the conditions of your vocational programme with the 30%/40% discount → 3) send us a copy of your passport → 4) reserve your place → 5) you receive your certificate for the visa. If you already have a DELE B2: send us your certificate, we put you in touch with the vocational training centre and we handle your enrolment with an exclusive 30%/40% discount.
Where are the courses taught?
The Spanish course is taught at our school in Murcia, accredited by the Instituto Cervantes. The vocational programme is delivered together with approved partner centres, located in Murcia, Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Seville. When you choose your programme, we confirm which city and which centre you would study in, before you decide anything.
Do I need one student visa or two?
If you take the Spanish course + vocational programme, you will need two (they are different courses of study): you apply for the first one from your country and for the second one already in Spain, without having to return to your country. If you go straight into the vocational programme with a B2, you will only need one visa. You can find the exact deadlines in the visa section.
What happens to my money if my visa is refused?
If you start with the Spanish course: we refund 100 % of the amount paid within 48 hours, deducting only the administration fees, which are 357 € (VAT included). If you go straight into the vocational programme with the DELE B2: the payment for the advice and administration service is non-refundable, and the conditions of the training centre apply to the programme fees. You have it in writing in the enrolment terms and conditions before you pay anything.
Can I have my previous studies officially recognised?
Yes — if you studied outside Spain, you need to have your studies officially recognised (homologación) in order to access the programme. We have a complete guide to the recognition process, although we also recommend that you check with the Spanish consular office in your country. It is enough to submit the receipt or «volante» of your recognition application, because we know the procedure can take a long time.
Will the vocational qualification I obtain be recognised in my country?
The qualification you obtain is an official qualification of the Spanish education system, issued by the education authorities: it is not a private diploma or a certificate from the centre, and in Spain it qualifies you to work in the sector. Whether it is also recognised in your country of origin is a separate procedure that does not depend on us: it depends on the agreements between Spain and your country and on the body that recognises foreign qualifications there. If your plan is to go back and work with this qualification, you should check with that body before you enrol.
How much does the programme cost?
It depends on the programme you choose, the city and your starting point (from scratch or with a B2). That is why we prepare a personalised plan with the exact price of your course — including your 30%/40% discount on the vocational programme — before you pay anything. Request it using the form: it is free and with no obligation.
What is the DELE and how do I get it?
It is the official Spanish language diploma awarded by the Instituto Cervantes. If you already have the DELE B2, you go straight into the vocational programme. If you do not, our intensive course prepares you from scratch: we are a centre accredited by the Instituto Cervantes.
Intermediate level (Grado Medio) or advanced level (Grado Superior): what is the difference?
Intermediate level (Grado Medio) (such as Pharmacy and Parapharmacy): you access it with secondary education. Advanced level (Grado Superior): a level equivalent to the first stage of university, requiring Bachillerato (upper secondary education) or an entrance exam. We advise you on which level fits your previous studies.
Can I work in Spain while I study?
The student visa allows you to work under certain conditions (working hours compatible with your studies). In addition, the programme includes work placements in companies, your first experience in the sector.
What are my chances of working when I finish?
The qualification qualifies you to work in the sector in Spain: it is the same official qualification that a Spanish professional holds, and more than 40% of job vacancies in Spain ask for vocational training graduates. The work placements on your programme are often the way in to a first contract. If your plan is to return to your country with the qualification, ask about its recognition there.
