Frequently asked questions
What does the Spanish + Vocational Training programme involve?
Three things: a Spanish course (6 months, compulsory unless you already have a certified DELE B2) + an official vocational training programme (1.5 or 2 years) + real work placements in companies, often the way in to a first contract.
What level of Spanish do I need to start?
None. The course is designed so that you start from zero and reach B1.2 – B2.1 before beginning your vocational programme in September. If you already have a certified DELE B2, you skip the Spanish language course, go straight into your programme and keep the 30%/40% discount.
Will I get an enrolment certificate for my visa?
Yes, two: one from the Instituto Hispánico de Murcia and one from the vocational training centre. With them you can apply for your student visa.
Can I apply for a student visa with this programme?
Yes. The Instituto Hispánico de Murcia is accredited by the Instituto Cervantes and these courses are officially recognised for applications for a student visa and for arraigo social (residence on the grounds of social ties). We help you with the paperwork throughout the process; the decision always rests with the Spanish authorities.
Can I study the vocational programme in a city other than Murcia?
The Spanish course is taught in Murcia only. You can take the vocational programme in Murcia, Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia or Seville, depending on the programme you choose.
